My journey into this lifestyle started about 4 years ago. Since my teens I have always struggled with mental illness, body image and depression.
Back in 2014 I was drinking heavily, eating bad foods and not caring for myself.
Veganism isn’t just some ‘fad’ diet for me, it has been something that has completely changed my whole life, it has taught me to see a whole new outlet on life and it has taught me how to love and care for my body while showing compassion to animals. I have always loved animals and animal welfare was the first thing that prompted me to go vegan. This is something I am very passionate about and if I could just help a couple of people transforms their lives too and help save the lives of innocent animals it would mean the world to me.
Veganism has taught me how to prioritise
my health and care for myself. I’m no longer that girl sitting at the bar trying to find happiness at the bottom of the bottle, and looking to find gratification through others. I am strong, I am capable and I am worthy, I mean I always was, we all are we just have to believe it. I no longer rely on energy drinks, coffees, and alcohol to gain energy. I thrive on a plant-based diet and I have more energy then I ever have before.
I no longer restrict myself (like I did a lot when I was younger) I no longer take ‘slimming pills’ or use quick fixes to loose weight. I eat as many natural carbohydrates as I want. Yes I said carbs! All the bananas and potatoes’ to my hearts content.
I am now a young thriving woman who enjoys, surfing, boxing, hiking and all things active. I am the fittest I have ever been and most importantly the happiest I have ever been. I am so excited to share with all of you guys my journey, lifestyle and all the amazing foods i eat.
