The big bean

Recipe makes 4 burgers 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chickpea's

  • 1 can lentils

  • 1 white onion 

  • 6 table spoons bread crumbs (i used gluten free) 

  • A handful of spinach 

  • 1 avocado 

  • 4 table spoon dairy free mayo 

  • 4 burger buns 

  • 2 tomatoes 

  • a handful of walnuts 

  • 1 table spoon nutritional yeast

  • pinch of salt, pepper, paprika and cumin 

 

Method:

Firstly pre heat your oven to 180c. Then heat your coconut oil in a pan and fry your finely chopped onion for 4 minutes. In a food processor add in your chickpea's breadcrumbs, spinach, walnuts, spices, nutritional yeast and cooked onion. Then blend together (don't over blend you don't want a paste) then put into bowl and add your drained lentils in and mush in with a fork. Form mixture into 4 patties you can add some more bread crumbs to patties to form them better if you like. Pop into oven for 10 minutes then flip them around and leave them for another 10. Toast your bread rolls, then add a table spoon of vegan mayo, chopped up avocado, chopped up tomato into each bread rolls. Once patties are ready put them in your rolls and enjoy :)
